Pff was interested enough after reading the backstory of Prussia and Hungary that I went spelunking on fanart sites. Everything was either DV or tragic love, and ... I like it. It's Wuthering Heights all over again. With
shoujo sparkles. one of the emo-er fancomics made me baawww :|
I know nothing about their background and histories beyond what's been scanlated on the community ahaha and I even forgot which side Hungary's hair parting was on.

Oh, here are some things that I was too lazy to scan.

chikotori tells me that she finds the image of France in a nightshirt funny. WHAT D: men in nightshirts are sexy okay, the setup allows me to draw hairy legs, but still not bother with the major problem of drawing thighs and/or tonkers.
She also tells me that the reason why USxUK is called "Joker" is because the Japanese fans took the first syllables of their last names like so:
Alfred F.
Jones (
Jyo-n-zu)
Arthur
Kirkland (
Ka-ku-ran-do)
= Joker (Jyoka)
I haven't verified if they use this CP name as a tag in Pixiv (because I never click on fanart of that couple....), but it would be amusing if they did and pictures of
this other thing called Jyoka from Houshin Engi turned up.
With similar reasoning, FRxUK would be:
Francis
Bonnefoy (so I'm stretching this a bit since the first syllable is technically just 'bo')
Arthur
Kirkland
= Bonker(s)
The other pairing name I come across on my Pixiv-ly travels (I am rather too selective on my choice of viewing) is Gileli (Prussia x Hungary). So Austria x Hungary would be Rodeli. Which sounds like a type of pasta.
Back to the homo (such as it is) after this (=A=);;
